ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Few things bring me more joy than settling down with a wonderful book, brimming with new worlds, characters, or knowledge waiting to be discovered. This joy for reading led to a new passion - telling stories.

My journey into writing started not just because of my love for reading but also because of my father, known as 'Uncle Jerry' to our friends. He was a storyteller who captivated everyone, especially kids, with his imaginative tales. He didn't see listening as a passive activity; every child had a role, whether it was providing sound effects, playing a character, or contributing ideas to his stories.

I hope you'll enjoy my fledgling forays into storytelling.

UNCLE JERRY

Meet Uncle Jerry. He was a storyteller who captivated everyone, especially kids, with his imaginative tales. When my sisters and I were young, he would entertain us and our friends with NOLO adventures. Each child would play a role—one would “THUMP... thump, thump,” others would call, “NOLLOOO!” and many might do voices. We adored the playful chaos.

In 2015, my father passed away unexpectedly, leaving these stories untold to the world. Though he drafted a few, like this one, he mainly set the foundation for others to tell their own NOLO tales.

Each of his kids took these stories to heart in their own way. I love the world of the NOLO and chose to follow in my dad's footsteps—creating my own stories set in the NOLO world. Thus, his story, 'Danger in the Hills,' will be the first of many NOLO books to come.

I hope you enjoyed the NOLO world, a fantastical creation by my father, 'Uncle Jerry.'
